How To Judge Whether The Four-circuit Valve Is Faulty?

The four-circuit valve, also known as the four-circuit protection valve, plays a vital role in the multi-circuit gas brake system of the car. Its core function is to ensure that the inflation and air supply processes of other circuits are independent of each other and unaffected when a circuit in the brake system fails.

So, how to judge whether the four-circuit valve is faulty? First of all, we need to pay attention to whether the pipeline is ventilated smoothly or there is a leakage problem. If this happens, it is necessary to check whether the four-circuit valve and the one-way valve are stuck or the diaphragm is broken. These faults are usually caused by excessive moisture in the airway, resulting in serious internal corrosion, which in turn causes the air valve to be stuck. The foreign matter produced by corrosion may also cause the diaphragm to rupture, which in turn causes air leakage.

When troubleshooting, it should be noted that the standard air pressure of the four-circuit valve has been set before leaving the factory. Therefore, if there is an imbalance such as air pressure imbalance, this is usually caused by poor quality or improper adjustment of the internal accessories such as diaphragms, valve seats, and piston assemblies when repairing and replacing them. During the disassembly and maintenance process, in order to facilitate subsequent installation, it is recommended to mark the corresponding position of each part. The disassembly process mainly includes removing the protective plug on the valve cover, taking out the adjusting screw, unscrewing the cross screw, and removing the various parts on the valve body in turn. After testing and cleaning each part, lubrication is required as required. It is particularly important to note that when installing the diaphragm, make sure that its red side faces L and the black side faces down. When the air pressure is adjusted to meet the requirements, don't forget to install the protective plug.

In summary, the four-circuit valve plays an indispensable role in the multi-way air brake system of the automobile. By understanding its working principle and fault judgment method, we can better maintain and maintain the car and ensure driving safety.
