Detailed steps for replacing the clutch master cylinder

First, make sure the new clutch master cylinder has been filled with hydraulic oil to prepare for the subsequent replacement operation. It is more efficient to work in two people during the removal and installation process.

Then, quickly remove the old clutch slave cylinder and replace it with the new master cylinder. It should be noted that the decision to replace should be based on the actual condition of the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. If there are no obvious scratches and rust on the inner wall of the pump barrel, we only need to replace the leather cup part; however, if there is obvious damage, we should consider replacing the entire assembly. When deciding to replace the master cylinder and slave cylinder at the same time, the order should be followed from slave cylinder to master cylinder.

After completing the replacement, it is necessary to extract the old hydraulic oil in the clutch master cylinder. This involves steps such as removing the oil delivery pipeline, cotter pin and separating the connecting rod of the master cylinder. Then, unscrew the screws that fix the master cylinder and remove the old master cylinder. Install the new clutch master cylinder in the reverse order of removal and make sure all parts are tightened firmly.

Finally, don't forget to add special hydraulic oil to the new master cylinder to ensure the normal operation of the clutch system.
